Why are you doing it?

Simply because there ain't so many media that would paint a right picture of what Russia is. There're few I recommend to stick with: Russia Beyond the Headlines, Calvert Journal, Meduza. These media sources give more than just news about politics, Putin, homophobia, communism, KGB, bears, and cold. They're doing great. But only one of them—Russia Beyond's editorial office—is permanently located in Russia. The other two are abroad. I believe, if you want to learn the country, its music, language and mentality, you should meet people from province.
